Raul’s expertise is amazingly diverse, covering children’s music, educational projects, popular culture and more. He was the Recording Engineer for the renowned Disney Leapfrog Interactive Programs. In the entertainment world, he has credits on Francis Ford Coppola movies and TV shows for the history channel. And in the educational realm, he has solid experience in audio and narration projects, including as lead recordist and editor on several audio books for Shambhala Publications.
His resume also includes everything from work with classical composer Osvaldo Golijov Sequence to Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour. Raul’s proficiency in music--from classical to pop and everything in between--is a rare combination.
Raul is known and respected in Boston and beyond for his mastery of Audio Engineering and Editing, Sound Design, Foley, Mixing, and Music Composition. He’s a regular guest lecturer at the Art Institute, where he originally earned his audio engineering degree. And his professional network of sound studios and talent stretches from Boston to L.A., which offers a healthy pool to draw on for projects.
Committed to helping kids develop an appreciation for music, Raul and fellow East Left co-owner Andrew volunteer to teach underprivileged children around Boston about music and music production. Recently, Raul began teaching songwriting classes for Forestdale Middle School students in Malden, MA.
His musical acumen and technical knowledge make him a respected team leader who draws the very best out of his engineers, mixers and composers. And his track record for delivering projects on time and on budget demonstrate that his management and musical skills are equally solid.
